Iris Luckhaus is a freelance illustrator, stylist and designer (MoD, Berlin University of the Arts, Class Vivienne Westwood) since 2000.
And if that’s a necessary part of projects, she might as well work as a graphic designer, author, lector, translator, reader, historian, inventor, supergirl, photographer, programmer or everyday life spy, or she might search for #happiness in small things for and with Lily Lux.
Her passion in all this – besides learning about topics and texts she might never have stumbled upon without her work! – is visual story telling, always with a friendly approach and often in details noone might even recognice at first sight. Besides her love for details, she is known for her drawings of confident curvy girls and for the character Lily Lux, which she created, wrote, illustrated and designed in cooperation with her favourite co-author, Matthias Klesse.
The different fields she works in influence and inspire each other. She especially enjoys the challenge of learning new things with every project, and she usually smiles when she is drawing.
She is a member of the German Illustratoren Organisation IO and the European Illustrators Forum EIF. In the past, she has worked as well as an instructress for Fashion Illustration at the Berlin University of the Arts. In anthologies like Illustration Now!, Freistil or Illusive, she is repeatedly featured as one of the “world’s best illustrators”.
Iris Luckhaus is currently living in Wuppertal, Berlin and sometimes in Paris, working for very different clients – most of them companies, publishing houses or agencies – from all over the world, and she is available for commissions!
