Just in time for the meteorological inception of fall (this morning, it smelled like fall – for the very first time this year) we uploaded some fresh wallpapers for you at www.lily-lux.de. And there is something new: Now, we don’t just offer seasonal wallpapers for computers screens, but as well for mobile phones. And if you would like to show us how Lily looks on your phone, you’re very welcome to do so at Lily Lux’ Facebook page-Seite tun – we’d love to see that!

Exhibition | Goethe Institut Märchenwelten

Handzeichnung mit Ölkreide zum Märchen Sterntaler der Gebrüder Grimm

I just discovered the website for the touring exhibiton “Märchenwelten” about the fairy tales by the brothers Grimm, which is travelling the world thank to the Goethe Institutes, in four copies – and it contains three of my Fairy Tale Girls. On their website, you can not only look at the exhibition, you can as well find the current dates and places to see it yourself! (Link)

Anthologie | Sedcard II for Illustratoren Organisation

IO-Sedcard 2011 mit Supergirl für SIX von Iris Luckhaus

I’ll take part in this years sedcard campaign by the Illustratoren Organsation again, in the advertising department. The card will be sent out by IO and also available at all the fairs, exhibitions and events the IO participates. On my card you can see one of my all-time favourites: the supergirl I developped, illustrated and designed as 11 colourful panels for the jewellery chain SIX in cooperation with Hochhaus agency. The Sixgirl is used in various ways, for advertising and decoration.

Lily Lux Online | Fresh Animated Banners

I’ve been wondering for a pretty long time how animated gifs might work e.g. how they are made, and I found out today! I usually need a reason to work such things out, and I had a good one: making banners for Lily Lux and the idea that a waving lucky cat and twinkling matryoshka dolls would be even nicer than just showing their pictures.

Lily Lux Banner zur Werbung mit Matrioschka

After all, making the tiny animations was much easier than expected, plus a lot of fun. You just have to be careful not to get hynotized…
