Today is my last day in the studio before our little summer break – and in mid-August I’ll continue fresh and rested with showing some amazing new projects and identification charts, which I’m already looking forward to!
As part of my “Foxy goes Hiking” project, I’ve researched and illustrated a lot of the smaller animals of New England. When the abundance became confusing, I’ve turned them into a chart, and now the infographics is available at Posterlounge (Amazon / eBay), Redbubble and Søciety6, printed on posters, notebooks, postcards and mugs as pictured below, as well as bags, shirts, pillows, scarves, blankets, covers, stickers and plenty of other products! ➔
Little Foxy was one of my favorite projects this year! It all started with a friend enquiring me to draw a special art print for the birth of a friends’ daughter, and it involved extensive research (like, snooping the new mother’s blog for likes and interests :)), finding a new style (I’ve never drawn anthropomorphic animals before, and it was more fun than expected!), figuring out that New England’s wildlife is surprisingly different from European wildlife (American robins are actually thrushs!) and, somehow, drawing so many of these animals that they got their own wall chart! ➔
We’re taking a little break for summer – and look forward to August, when we’ll continue fresh and rested, and when I can finally show you all the wonderful projects I’ve been working on but am not supposed to show yet!
We’d like to wish you very lovely, candle-lit and heartwarming holidays (and a merry Christmas, or whatever you may be celebrating!), and all the best for a truly happy, healthy and wonderful new year Twothousandtwentyone! ➔
We’re taking a little break for summer – and look forward to September, when we’ll continue fresh and rested, and when I can finally show you all the wonderful projects I’ve been working on but am not supposed to show yet!
Gerti, the DIY dressup doll I designed, styled and illustrated as stamps and dies for the online shop Charlie & Paulchen, just got her third set of clothes and accessories for the summer! The fresh set is called »Gerti geht baden« (Gerti takes a bath), and it contains everything you need for a lovely day full of fun by the sea or by the lake! ➔
A couple of months ago, I scanned some of my inbetween sketches, in order to try out some new styles and colour schemes, and to make some fresh illustrations for art prints and products – so, here’s a little preview! ➔
After being asked for years where to buy my infographics, I have – among other things – revised and uploaded my instructions for »Nützliche Knoten« (Useful Knots) – for posters to Posterlounge [product page; via Amazon und eBay!] and for cards, mugs and other lovely products to Redbubble [product page] und Søciety6 [product page]! ➔
After being asked for years where to buy my infographics, I have – among other things – revised and uploaded my instructions for »Wasserkreislauf« (Hydrological Cycle) – for posters to Posterlounge [product page; via Amazon und eBay!] and for cards, mugs and other lovely products to Redbubble [product page] und Søciety6 [product page]! ➔
I’m working on some confidential projects right now, which I’m not supposed to show (yet). Meanwhile, I’m sharing some Making Of for older work – like this first draft for super heroine Barbararella, which I designed and illustrated last year for an (unpublished) column in Gruner und Jahr’s “Barbara” magazine by Barbara Schöneberger. ➔
After being asked for years when my information graphics would be out als posters as well (or if they already exist somewhere), I reworked the identification charts for hairdos, the instructions for knots and the infographics on the hydrological cycle, and finally uploaded them. Art prints are now available via Posterlounge (also via eBay!), while Søciety6 [US] und Redbubble [EU/US] also offer cards, mugs, bags and plenty of other printed products! ➔
For Gruner und Jahr’s develepment of Barbara Schöneberger’s magazine “Barbara”, I designed and illustrated the super-heroine “Barbararella”. The picture above illustrates a column in which Barbara punishes a guy she catched peeing while standing, while her superhero collegue in the background is already waiting for their coffeebreak… Unfortunately, the series got never published, but it was great fun to draw. Thank you very much, Judith! ➔
I’ve had so much fun with my posters for the Posterlounge earlier this week that I also renewed my shop at Søciety6 right away – besides artprints, you can also buy my girls on greeting cards, coffee mugs, throw pillows, tote bags, sleeves, cases and skins now – and some of them even fitted on duvet covers and shower curtains! ➔
Today I received my – beautifully printed! – voucher specimens, and tomorrow the »Balkantherapie« by the great actress, musician and author Mimi Fiedler will be released and available in bookstores! ➔
May I introduce you to Monsieur Guy le Sailör? I developped and illustrated the guy for the Mimi Fiedler’s awesome »Balkantherapie«, and in the books he presents some physical exercises (and a little more)! ➔
I just finished numerous illustrations for the book »Balkantherapie« by the charming, smart, incredibly funny and simply great actress, singer, photographer and author Mimi Fiedler, which I’ve enthusiastically been drawing the past couple of weeks, as commissioned by the Münchner Verlagsgesellschaft. ➔
Here is everything collected you need for a real fun Wild West adventure: the dauntless blood brothers, the sleepy sheriff, the friendly and peaceful settlers, some beautiful native handicrafts, the very serious chief (shown with a totem), lots of exciting books, a malicious bandit, bows and arrows and tomahawks, a herd of wild and brash buffaloes, a little, non-smoky camp fire, a graceful unblinking squaw and a lovely couraged settler girl (riding and shooting like a devil, unfortunately not pictured), the totem (or stake, just like needed), the three smart trappers (wenn ich mich nicht irre, hihihi), the terribly dangerous grizzly, and the cactuses in the ready… and, for sure, a brand spanking new railroad track. ➔
I’ll take part in this years sedcard campaign by the Illustratoren Organsation again, in the advertising department. The card will be sent out by IO and also available at all the fairs, exhibitions and events the IO participates. On my card you can see one of my all-time favourites: the supergirl I developped, illustrated and designed as 11 colourful panels for the jewellery chain SIX in cooperation with Hochhaus agency. The Sixgirl is used in various ways, for advertising and decoration. ➔
Sixgirl is flying out to the 3.000 SIX stores now – and we’re looking look forward to visit her in at least some of them! ➔
Sixgirl is ready: A real supergirl mit with bewitching superpowers as a shopdecoration for SIX Accessories Cologne. Soon she will fly through 3.000 shops all over Europe! ➔
