After being asked time and again if the animal trail poster I created with tracker Stefanie Argow and Dr. Sarah Kiefer of Stadtwildtiere.de, the Citizen Science project of the Leibniz-Instituts für Zoo- und Wildtierforschung (IZW), was available for purchase, we have now finally uploaded it to Redbubble [product page], where it can be ordered! Gerti, the DIY dressup doll I designed, styled and illustrated as stamps and dies for the online shop Charlie & Paulchen, just got her third set of clothes and accessories for the summer! The fresh set is called »Gerti geht baden« (Gerti takes a bath), and it contains everything you need for a lovely day full of fun by the sea or by the lake! ➔
Via Instagram, I discovered cards and gift tags which bloggers crafted with the stamp and die set “Nikolausbande” by Charlie & Paulchen – and those are so amazing and full of stunning ideas that I really have to show them here! ➔
For Charlie & Paulchen, I already designed, styled and illustrated Gerti, the craftable dressup doll, and some seasonal outfits for her – and now, there are three cute little Santas for christmas cards and gift tags following! The spring preview by Duden Verlag is online – and I am very much looking forward to soon announce a truly great, informative and exciting book I illustrated a couple of months ago!
I really like those bichrome book illustrations from the Sixties, and for a long time, I wanted to try out how that style might work with my girls. Today, as the weather is nice, I long for Paris, and I’m waiting for some client feedback, I’ve drawn Amy (who likes to call herself “Aimée” in Paris), all dressed up for a walking her little dog, May, in the city. ➔
While I’m working on confidential projects which I can’t share here, I’d like to show some in-between personal work. Here are further tests with bichrome vacation motives, which I’d really like to print myself someday. ➔
After being asked time and again when my nature infographics would become available as posters, I finally revised and uploaded the identification charts for Birds at Flight / Birding! After being asked time and again when my nature infographics would become available as posters, I finally revised and uploaded my identification sheets for common European Tree Leaves – for large formats, to Posterlounge (also via eBay!), for postcards, staionary and for prints on all sorts of amazing products, to Søciety 6 and RedBubble.
After being asked for years when my information graphics would be out als posters as well, I finally revised the identification charts for leaf shapes, animals tracks and bird silhouettes and uploaded them. How nice to see that my retro fashionistas are featured on The Creative Finder‘s frontpage!
I’ve had so much fun with my posters for the Posterlounge earlier this week that I also renewed my shop at Søciety6 right away – besides artprints, you can also buy my girls on greeting cards, coffee mugs, throw pillows, tote bags, sleeves, cases and skins now – and some of them even fitted on duvet covers and shower curtains! ➔
I just happily received my voucher specimens of the brandnew Illustratoren Organisation‘s Sedbook 2015/2016, which features my Flora im Walde as a page spread as well as my Queen of Hearts from the 52 Aces Poker Deck and the curious fairytale girls as vignettes – and the book turned out really beautiful! ➔
In february, I was so happy about the first signs of spring that I started to draw Flora, walking through the forest. Soon, there were animals gathering around her, such as foxes, squirrels, swallows, peacock butterflies, racoon, badger, hedgehog, rabbit, marten, falcon, rookie, dormouses, jaybird, magpie, woodpeckers, titmouses, robins, goldfinches, sparrows, chiffchaff, blackbirds, tree frog, bumble bees and a roe deer! ➔
Once again, I am not allowed to show any of my wonderful recent projects (yet!), so here’s some in between personal work; those are inspired by some early bloomers I discovered during the last weeks (marigolds, daisies and roses, which seem to be able to bloom under snow?!) – and full of anticipation for the approaching spring! ➔
A quite old portrait that catched my attention when I was sorting out work for my new portfolio, and I couldn’t resist renovating it. The new version may become an art print soon? ➔
I had a little time in between and tried some new styles with old poses. It’s so much fun to work a little rougher and with only two colours! And to think about making my own screen prints. ➔
Little series of little dresses, inspired by a pile of old fashion magazines. ➔
Small series of heroines, strangers and faces I just find beautiful for some reason – inspired by vintage fashion magazines and one of my albums on Pinterest. ➔
Is there anything nicer than clients being so overwhelmingly happy about their freshly printed stationary that they make a little photoshooting with it – and send me the pictures? Thank you!!! ➔
This was one of my favourite graphic commissions those past few months: A full wedding design including a logo (in which every tiny detail has a particular, very personal reason), CI, stamps and seals (all of this not only for the big day, but also for all sorts of everyday purposes lateron) and, of course, all the stationary from save-the-date to invitation (with a little map and RSVPs) and thank you cards – all that for a very special couple I had the pleasure to get to know a lot better through this really nice project. Thank you very much for that! ➔
Did I ever mention how much I like drawing maps? This is Auerstedt in the Weimarer Land (Thüringen) and the map is part of a stationary set for a wedding next year. ➔

For example all these Corporate Identities of places, stores and places I developped and visualized for Die wunderbare Welt der Lily Lux and that I would highly appreciate to find in my own world! For our Lily Lux Notizbuch (Hoffmann & Campe 2010), I illustrated a practical sheet that makes it easy to identify the tracks of 36 common animals, such as eagle, beaver, bear, badger, squirrel, moose, duck, owl, ferret, frog, fox, rabbit, dog, hedgehog, cat, crow, cow, lynx, marten, mouse, otter, horse, rat, partridge, deer, heron, gerbil, red deer, sheep, pig, sparrow, pigeon, raccoon, weasel, wolf and goat. Next to this, we explain the behaviour of animals during winter. ➔
On Lily Lux’ Website, owners of the Lily Lux Notizbuch will find special pages as a pdf from today on. If you wish, you may download them, cut them and glue or sew them into your book: fresh lists to fill in, some calendars, small seasonal specialties and special equipments to craft yourself. We’ll renew these pages every few weeks, so you’re welcome to check back and to tell us what you would like to find there!

I had a hilarious weekend with a massive amount of paper, watercolours, inks, beetroot juice, red wine, curry, glass cleaner, christmas ornaments and plenty of other things that helped me work on some structured backgrounds for greeting cards by Intergreeting Schott. It was splendid to use colours, structures and chemical reactions just like a child, but it’s not as splendid how my office smells now… and the desk is slightly patterned as well. ➔
From today on, there’s the transparent lampion ‘Winterzeit’ as a limited edition. ➔
