We’d like to wish you very lovely, candle-lit and heartwarming holidays (and a merry Christmas, or whatever you may be celebrating!), and all the best for a truly happy, healthy and wonderful new year Twothousandtwentythree! ➔

Do you know these moments, when you stumble over last years’ pictures or some souvenir from your last vacations and all of a sudden, there is this incredible longing for some real, true everyday life, just as we knew it?
It’s nice to see that in the blog La Despensa de Leonardo by Manuel Profeiedda, I am featured as an example for the illustrators you can find on Women who Draw, with an illustration from the “Balkantherapie” by Mimi Fiedler!
I am very happy to be on board with Women who Draw, an awesome open directory for female illustrators from all over the world, to which each of us added an illustration of a woman. And I really like the coincidence of interaction between those drawn ladies, just like a comic!
After really long time (actually, far too late :)), I now arrived on Instagram as well!
After planning on this for months, I finally found time lately to update the main self portrait I’m showing in the profile section of this site (and which once, in an even earlier version, even served as a landing page). My studio actually looks very much like this – and I only depicted birds which frequently visit my winterly tree-buffet!
It has been a little quiet around here the last couple of months, but this had a good reason: Next to my actual work, I built a brandnew website – finally bilingual, responsive, with my very own theme (thanks to WordPress and Headway Themes, which I’d definitely like to recommend!) and several new, long-wanted functions (like a multidimensional portfolio taxonomy) that seems to act and look fine on the most different monitors, browsers and devices*! ➔
22:55 // A little monument: This is the first blog entry in our new, slick, fast, going-to-be responsive and fully bilingual blog format, that over the next couple of weeks or months (depending on how much time I can spend on it!) will become an all new and shiny portfolio with a practical search function – and a whole new site, after all… welcome on board!
After a long time, I refreshed my Online Portfolio again with several very many new and reworked illustrations – I wonder if anybody finds all of them?
We almost missed it: I already published 500 posts in this blog (the exact N° 500 was the Queen of Hearts !)! This is going to be celebrated, with our favourite guest Lux (as seen above), a little cake for us you, and a chocolate heart box as a thank you for reading and commenting!
Haphazardly, the big 500 coincides with the new bilinguality (see right above, there’s or new language switch!) of this blog. Most of the 500 posts are hand-translated now, only reviews and language specific things remain in their original language. If you’d really like to read them, you’re welcome to try your luck with automatic translations :)
00:21 a.m. // This is my very first post in the new WordPress format, and I’ll see if I can get my beautiful Fontface fonts up and running here… and the whole thing nicely integrated with my site (where the Fontface embedding already works)… a real challenge. ➔
After a long break I renovated big parts of my website and uploaded lots of new images, character designs and textile patterns. Plus my very own ecards and some icons for download. Enjoy!
My first all-handmade original drawing since 2004, for the sketchbook ‘Meine Welt’ (my world) by Illustratoren-Organisation. It was great, great fun and I had a hilarious weekend with the book… even though it was really heartbreaking to say goodbye and send it over to its next stop! ➔
I updated the portfolio and network an link area on my site, and my new portfolio-PDF is ready for download: 44 pages (ca. 13 MB) with my best and newest illustrations. Password for download on request by eMail.

I redesigned my site completely, simplified navigation and built in a complete tour – feedback and comments are welcome!
I finally took the time to work some free outline illustrations over, pixel by pixel, to achieve some vectorlike look. Fresh and smooth, but at the same time with the warmth of a hand drawing… it’s not as easy as expected. ➔
I just uploaded an updated version of this site: with lots of new illustrations and now, for the first time, some pretty downloads for your desktop. ➔
“L’on trouve en ce pais des Dames fort actives / Qui s’cavent menager chaque moment du jour, / Car de peur de rester oisives / La chasse les occupe apres le jeu d’amour.” – Subtitle of a caricature called L’Europe [anon., um 1680]
You can now order the theory part of my Hunt Fever Diploma about the historical development of ladies’ hunting apparel and the history of huntresses for reimbursement of expenses, just by contacting me. Furthermore, I just uploaded a complete portfolio of all my fashion projects! ➔
This is a little monument for the very first, one-page version of this site, dating back to June 15th, 2001, and my first full online portfolio from June 23rd, 2002. I was so proud when it finally worked! ➔
