Today, I was very happy to receive my fresh specimens of the fall issue of »Waldstück«, the awesome free magazine by Niedersächsische Landesforsten! For a kid’s poster inside that magazine, I illustrated 16 tree shoots and buds, for tree identification in winter. On the poster, my graphics are accompanied by some interesting information.

Christian Talla, who edits the posters so lovingly, brought them to Din A2 format.

Finger Alphabet for Eltern Family in DB Mobil

My very simple two-handed Finger Alphabet has been part of the last April issue of the »Eltern Family« magazine – and now I am happy to announce that, thanks to a cooperation, it will also be presented on the online family pages of Deutsche Bahn, under the title »Geheimsprache als Zeitvertreib« (»Cipher Language as a Pastime«). Now I wonder if on my next train journey, I will see children using my grandmother’s very own hand alphabet?!

I am pleased to finally anounce a book I illustrated for Duden Verlag, a publisher which is famous for its dictionary of the German language, the »Duden«, as the predominant resource for German orthography, but also publishes other books with language-related topics. For Rita Mielke’s »Du hast das Wort, Schätzchen!« (»You have the word, darling!«), which tells 100 exciting and often surprising stories around the German language in a smart, warm and humorous way, I worked in a new, bichrome and simplified style, to resemble book illustrations of the Sixties.

The Niedersächsischen Landesforsten (forest administration of Lower Saxony), with whom I recently have developed 16 graphics for the typical silhouettes of different trees, allowed me to use my illustrations freely – so I have now set them up in my own layout, and they’re already available at the Posterlounge (soon also via Amazon and eBay!).

Finger Alphabet for Eltern Family in DB Mobil

My very simple two-handed Finger Alphabet has been part of the last April issue of the »Eltern Family« magazine – and now I am happy to announce that, thanks to a cooperation, it will also be presented on the online family pages of Deutsche Bahn, under the title »Geheimsprache als Zeitvertreib« (»Cipher Language as a Pastime«). Now I wonder if on my next train journey, I will see children using my grandmother’s very own hand alphabet?!

I am pleased to finally anounce a book I illustrated for Duden Verlag, a publisher which is famous for its dictionary of the German language, the »Duden«, as the predominant resource for German orthography, but also publishes other books with language-related topics. For Rita Mielke’s »Du hast das Wort, Schätzchen!« (»You have the word, darling!«), which tells 100 exciting and often surprising stories around the German language in a smart, warm and humorous way, I worked in a new, bichrome and simplified style, to resemble book illustrations of the Sixties.
