I am very happy about my specimen copy of the opulent catalog for the exhibition »Modebilder – Kunstkleider« at the Berlinischen Galerie, for which my former costume history lecturer Dr. Gundula Wolter wrote a very exciting article about Vivienne Westwood’s fashion class at the Berlin University of the Arts, and where I found unexpectedly many and full-page pictures of the huntresses from my diploma collection »Jagdfieber«, which I created there! ➔

One year ago, I got really fed up with testing one poorly fitting mask pattern after the other, and decided to use what I’ve learnt to invent my own Hybrid Mask pattern. And my very first attempt fitted perfectly! In order to help others with similar problems, I published pattern and instructions in German on April 14th and in English on April 21st. ➔
I have recently equipped my shops at Søciety6 [US] and RedBubble [EU + US] with fresh illustrations, field guides, infographics, patterns and some winter specials – and I was amazed at all the new products there! In addition to prints, posters and postcards, there are now also printed furniture, curtains, pillows, blankets, carpets, bed linen, shower curtains, bath mats, coffee mugs, water bottles, trays, boards, wrapping paper, notebooks, stickers, magnets, cases, skins, bags, picnic blankets, shirts and much more – and some of them now with my designs! ➔
I felt honoured when I discovered my hybrid mask had been tested by the fabulously useful portal MaskeZeigen.de, an initiative started at the German government’s hackathon #wirvsvirus, which I’ve been following from the start! This is what tester Birgit S. says (direct translation :)), who has both sewn the mask and taken those lovely pictures above:
»The author of the instructions is a professional. And you can tell. (…) The highlight of this mask is the seperate, backwards folded nose pleat, which also contains the nose wire (…). I was pleasantly surprised at how well the mask fits. In my opinion, the author’s plan to design a mask that “fits as tightly and seamlessly as possible on the nose, cheek and chin and does not slide up into the eyes or down the tip of the nose” worked out perfectly. ➔
A couple of years ago, I created a colouring sheet for the wonderful Malbogen Blog, right after a storm almost stole my scarf and when Lily Lux was longing for new adventures The special thing about it is that it can not only be used for colouring in, but due to some open space, you can even draw your own ideas! Maybe coloring in, painting on, and making up your own little trip with the wind might help you feel a little less locked up at home. Have a good flight! ➔

I just happily received my voucher specimens of the brandnew Illustratoren Organisation‘s Sedbook 2015/2016, which features my Flora im Walde as a page spread as well as my Queen of Hearts from the 52 Aces Poker Deck and the curious fairytale girls as vignettes – and the book turned out really beautiful! ➔
In february, I was so happy about the first signs of spring that I started to draw Flora, walking through the forest. Soon, there were animals gathering around her, such as foxes, squirrels, swallows, peacock butterflies, racoon, badger, hedgehog, rabbit, marten, falcon, rookie, dormouses, jaybird, magpie, woodpeckers, titmouses, robins, goldfinches, sparrows, chiffchaff, blackbirds, tree frog, bumble bees and a roe deer! ➔

On September 22nd, we had the big signing, exhibition and reading “One Night Stand” celebrating the erotic anthology “Bettgeschichten – Comics für Erwachsene” (Hrsg: Naomi Fearn und Reinhard Kleist at Zwerchfell Verlag), for which I illustrated a spread with my “Frau Nachbarin” – and it was a wonderful evening! The advent calendar project is all about the awesome Mr. Sven Elch, employee of the “Santa & Sons” company, and his very special adventures in the advent season… the Illustrie made a hilarious advent calendar app for iPhone und iPad from this.

I illustrated a fresh page for the marvellous Malbogen Blog, after Judith asked so nicely, the storm almost catched my scarf and Lily Lux felt like heading for new adventures… The special thing about this page is that it’s not just to colour it in, but as well to draw something on – and I would really like to see what kids (or adults :)) draw on… elephants, autumn leaves, spectating bunnies, chinese dragons, forest backgrounds, castles and towns, or something completely different maybe? Today, I found my copies of the Taschen Illustration Now! Calendar 2012 in the mailbox… and flipped anxiously through all the 365 pages, to find two(!) of my girls on May 30th and August 14th – how great! ➔
May I introduce? The great Wild West anthology “Hugh! Winnetou” that was published in celebration of the Peng!-award to Helmut Nickel as father of the Winnetou comics in June 2011 at Edition 52, with our dear Lily Lux, but as well some other awesome contributions really worth to look at and to read! I really like the diversity of approaches in the book, and how different childhood memories of the same thing (e.g. hero) can be!

I just happily received my voucher specimens of the brandnew Illustratoren Organisation‘s Sedbook 2015/2016, which features my Flora im Walde as a page spread as well as my Queen of Hearts from the 52 Aces Poker Deck and the curious fairytale girls as vignettes – and the book turned out really beautiful! ➔
In february, I was so happy about the first signs of spring that I started to draw Flora, walking through the forest. Soon, there were animals gathering around her, such as foxes, squirrels, swallows, peacock butterflies, racoon, badger, hedgehog, rabbit, marten, falcon, rookie, dormouses, jaybird, magpie, woodpeckers, titmouses, robins, goldfinches, sparrows, chiffchaff, blackbirds, tree frog, bumble bees and a roe deer! ➔

Today, I found the stunningly beautiful Zeixs Cube “Poster Design II” in my mailbox – and there are eight(!!!) pages showing my work, including some so far unpublished illustrations from the wonderful world of Lily Lux, posters for made-up trademarks and events… many thanks to Marc, I am very happy about this book!!! ➔

On September 22nd, we had the big signing, exhibition and reading “One Night Stand” celebrating the erotic anthology “Bettgeschichten – Comics für Erwachsene” (Hrsg: Naomi Fearn und Reinhard Kleist at Zwerchfell Verlag), for which I illustrated a spread with my “Frau Nachbarin” – and it was a wonderful evening! Many thanks to Naomi Fearn, Modern Graphics, Galerie Knoth und Krüger and all those who did actually read (and tell) their comics!

Right in time for the Frankfurt book fair in october, the new image brochure of the Illustratoren Organisation IO e.V. is published – with my Lily Lux (“Lily liebt es, zu finden” from the book “Die wunderbare Welt der Lily Lux”) on the cover!!! The “Frau Nachbarin” I drew for the erotic anthology “Bettgeschichten – Comics für Erwachsene” (Hrsg: Naomi Fearn und Reinhard Kleist at Zwerchfell Verlag) will be exhibited on September 22, 2012, as a part of “One Night Stand” at Modern Graphics (signing from 5 pm to 8 pm) and Galerie Knoth und Krüger (exhibition and reading starting at 9 pm) in Berlin!

The last time I checked, there were only 92 pieces of the beautiful limited edition left, so better hurry up if you’d like to play with these cards (or hang them on your wall)! ➔
Neuerdings gibt es einen wunderbaren neuen Blog zum erotischen Sammelband “Bettgeschichten – Comics für Erwachsene” (Hrsg: Naomi Fearn und Reinhard Kleist im Zwerchfell Verlag), wo sämtliche Zeichner vorgestellt werden und wo auch immer wieder schicke Links gepostet werden… vorgestern war ich dran, mit lauter schönen Worten:
“(…) kann ich nicht einfach mal ein schönes Bild haben, mit schönen Details, in dem ich verträumt versinken kann?” Aber ja, Cherie! Und zwar bei unserem wunderschönen Vektor-Wunder Iris Luckhaus. Als die einzige Künstlerin in unserem Buch, die neben Illustration auch noch Modedesign studiert hat (bei Vivienne Westwood, oh la la!) überrascht es nicht, daß sie neben Illustrationen für diverse Magazine auch noch Stylistin ist und Leute in 2 und 3D gut aussehen lässt.“

I’ve drawn another special page: the “Neighbour” for the erotic anthology “Bettgeschichten – Comics für Erwachsene”! The book will be published by Zwerchfell Verlag, right in time for the Comicsalon Erlangen in June and was edited and supervised by Naomi Fearn and Reinhard Kleist. ➔

I first thought I was hallucinating when I discovered the mockup cover of the Zeixs Cube “Magazine & Book Design” (Attention, this book isn’t available in stores (yet)!), admittedly at third sight – I am still stunned about this nice surprise of seeing our Lily in such an unexpected place… ➔
It’s a great pleasure for me to introduce you to my Queen of Hearts! I illustrated and designed this card for the amazing “52 Aces Reloaded” poker deck by Zeixs – Books for Designers which will be published later this year. I look very much forward to that! Right now, Zeixs are showing a preview of the cards on Facebook, and it’s exciting to see this fantastic deck grow with different styles. ➔
We felt honoured to be invited to take part in the Illustrie’s advent calendar projekt, and we are very happy about our own star on their “Walk of Art & Fame”!!!
The advent calendar project is all about the awesome Mr. Sven Elch, employee of the “Santa & Sons” company, and his very special adventures in the advent season… the Illustrie made a hilarious advent calendar app for iPhone und iPad from this.
In our contribution, we show what happens when Mr. Elch personally takes care of the blog’s guests… Thank you very much Stew and Timo for a very pleasant game of visual ping pong! ➔
Three of my fariytale girls I made a few years ago illustrating the tales “Cinderella” and “Star Thaler”, will be shown from November 29th as part of the travelling exhibition “Märchenwelten” about the stories by the Brother Grimm in Goethe Institutes all over the world! ➔
Today, I found the splendid Zeixs Cube “Best Of Greeting Cards” in my mailbox – and there are eight(!!!) pages printed with my girls, beneath others there is Lily Lux, the famous snow Miss, and many more… thank you so much, Marc und Sahba, this is gorgeous!!!
My fall illustration for the marvellous Malbogen Blog, coloured in by myself (thanks to Photoshop tidier than possible with crayons, I admit!) and decorated with a flying kite (in Lily Lux’ favourite red), a curious swallow and a cloud. And now I’d really like to see what’s flying at the end of your thread! ➔
I illustrated a fresh page for the marvellous Malbogen Blog, after Judith asked so nicely, the storm almost catched my scarf and Lily Lux felt like heading for new adventures… The special thing about this page is that it’s not just to colour it in, but as well to draw something on – and I would really like to see what kids (or adults :)) draw on… elephants, autumn leaves, spectating bunnies, chinese dragons, forest backgrounds, castles and towns, or something completely different maybe? If you’re painting the sheet, you’re welcome to upload and leave a comment! ➔
Today, I found my copies of the Taschen Illustration Now! Calendar 2012 in the mailbox… and flipped anxiously through all the 365 pages, to find two(!) of my girls on May 30th and August 14th – how great! ➔
May I introduce? The great Wild West anthology “Hugh! Winnetou” that was published in celebration of the Peng!-award to Helmut Nickel as father of the Winnetou comics in June 2011 at Edition 52, with our dear Lily Lux, but as well some other awesome contributions really worth to look at and to read! I really like the diversity of approaches in the book, and how different childhood memories of the same thing (e.g. hero) can be!
