Together with other former students and teachers of Vivienne Westwood‘s fashion class at the Berlin University of the Arts, I participated in this commemorative obituary that was published in the culture section of WochenTAZ today – and I also had the great honour of designing the obituary on behalf of all of us.

I particularly like the fact that we were able to agree on my absolute favourite quote by Vivienne:

“You’ve got to invest in the world, you’ve got to read, you’ve got to go to art galleries, you’ve got to find out the names of plants. You’ve got to start to love the world and know about the whole genius of the human race. We’re amazing people.”

Many thanks to all 60 participants – especially Jürgen, Gundula and Yvonne! – for this equally beautiful and heartbreaking collaboration, and to Anke Fest from the TAZ for patiently answering countless questions!
