I am very happy about my specimen copy of the opulent catalog for the exhibition »Modebilder – Kunstkleider« at the Berlinischen Galerie, for which my former costume history lecturer Dr. Gundula Wolter wrote a very exciting article about Vivienne Westwood’s fashion class at the Berlin University of the Arts, and where I found unexpectedly many and full-page pictures of the huntresses from my diploma collection »Jagdfieber«, which I created there!
Of course, I particularly enjoyed the contribution of Dr. Gundula Wolter, who vividly reminded me of an amazing time, and of everything I learned from her and Vivienne Westwood (and still apply, albeit usually in a completely different field!), but I also found the rest of this catalog highly interesting, very readable – and also, recommendable!

In the exhibition »Modebilder – Kunstkleider« (Fashion Pictures – Art Clothes), photography, painting and fashion from 1900 to the present day as “reflectors of social changes and individual needs” will be shown until May 30, 2022.
Feb 18th – May 30th, 2022 | Exhibition »Modebilder – Kunstkleider«
Berlinische Galerie | Alte Jakobstraße 124 – 128 | 10969 Berlin
There will also be a highly interesting event on May 19, 2022 at 7 pm on the topic »Knowledge creates fashion. Vivienne Westwood as a professor in Berlin 1994-2006«. The conversation between Annelie Lütgens and Gundula Wolter is about Westwood’s training concept, and film excerpts from the fashion class’ defilées are shown.
Many thanks to Dr. Gundula Wolter and Annelie Lütgens for the nice cooperation!
