Today, I was very happy to receive my fresh specimens of the summer issue of »Waldstück«, the free magazine by Niedersächsische Landesforsten! For a kid’s poster inside that magazine, I illustrated 16 well-known animals living in and by the water. On the poster, my graphics are accompanied by some really interesting information.
The 16 water animals I illustrated are fire salamander, grass frog, tree frog, yellow-bellied toad, pike, warty newt, river trout, mirror carp, common roach, wels catfish, crayfish, terrapin, ring snake and eel. I drew them in shades of grey and added some colour for important features. After Tree Leaves, Animal Tracks, Birds at Flight, Tree Shapes, Tree Fruits, Forester Tools and Forest Animals, his is the eighth time I’m drawing for the »Waldstück« – and I enjoy the researches, the illustrations and the way nature graphics enrich the way you look at the outdoors world and discover things, more and more every time! And I’m already looking forward to illustrate the next issue :)
As always, great thanks to Christian Talla, who edits the posters (and the whole magazine) so lovingly, and to Stephan Averbeck from Niedersächsische Landesforsten, whose expert advice always helps a lot, for this great cooperation!
Furthermore, I am happy that Niedersächische Landesforsten encourages me to further use the graphics, so there will be another Poster soon – in my very own layout, going well together with my leaves, tracks and birds posters!
