For the april issue of the German »Eltern Family« magazine, I reworked my two-handed Finger Alphabet – and I am very happy that now, even more children and grown-ups can learn, use and enjoy it!
My alphabet is slightly different from standard ones, because my grandmother (who teached it to me) used it a lot herself, when she was a girl, to communicate window-to-window with her best friend next door. For that purpose, the letters had to be readable from a distance and as silhouettes! This made so much sense to me that I kept the forms.
So far, my two-handed finger alphabet is also available as a poster via Posterlounge, or – together with some other alphabets such as the semaphore, Morse codes oder Braille letters – as a part of our »Lily Lux Notizbuch«!
