00:21 a.m. // This is my very first post in the new WordPress format, and I’ll see if I can get my beautiful Fontface fonts up and running here… and the whole thing nicely integrated with my site (where the Fontface embedding already works)… a real challenge.
02:31 a.m. // It looks good so far, and my new blog found all its fonts. Ha! Furthermore, importing of my old Blogspot posts has worked amazingly nice and easy, it just took a few seconds to transport eight years of blogging. Now the only thing that’s missing are my images in the correct size (the old blog was a lot narrower)… embedding font still seems like a miracle to me, a dream come true, and I’m totally crushed on the charming and oh-so-useful Fontsquirrel.
By the way, I am right now also updating my complete portfolio site, second time ever (not including image uplaods and some little tricks here and there)… the first fully functional site dates 2001/2002 (back then, I used small images for all the type… I mean, really, all the type), first complete update was 2006/2007, and now it shall all be new and shiny again!
If you wonder: my studio actually does look like in the image above. Even though it is night by now and if it wasn’t, the tree out there would be much much greener. And there are no clothes standing by the table. But I smile, because programming can be so much like a kind of meditation – and finding solutions for weird technical problems is plain wonderful, again and again.
